Who makes Kernl, and why

What it is for

Kernl is not a coding tool. If you write software, use a coding agent for that. Kernl does the rest of your computer work: your files, your documents, your research and the jobs you do every week.

How it is built

• The software decides what Kernl may touch. It reports whether operating-system confinement is active; connector confinement starts on for Windows and Linux and off for macOS. See how permissions work.
• Each activity-record entry is sealed to the one before it, so removal or reordering is detectable. You can read and export the last 30 days in Settings; private chats are not recorded.
• The free version does not contact our licensing service. It looks for a newer release when it starts; switch that off in Settings. A paid copy works offline for its paid term and checks renewal only near the end; if the term ends, it drops back to the free version rather than stopping.

The installer's signature

The installer is signed with a certificate issued by SSL.com and timestamped by DigiCert. Windows may still warn on a new release because its warning also uses download counts.
