What is it, in one breath?
Kernl is a Windows agent that works through your files, programs and browser. Give it a job and it plans the work, checks its own result, and leaves the finished documents, pictures, audio or video in a folder you can open.
Does it phone home?
Not with your work. Conversations and files stay on your computer and are not sent to us; the optional usage counts and health reports never contain your files or your messages, and switch off in one click.
The built-in AI runs on your graphics card and works offline. With your own key from Claude, OpenAI or Gemini, requests go straight to that provider, under your account.
What does it ask me?
Kernl does not ask each time for work it can undo. It stops when work leaves your computer, cannot be taken back or it cannot classify the action. Text in a web page or a file cannot grant it permission. How the boundaries work.
Can I undo what it did?
Kernl saves a copy of a file before it changes it, so file changes can be undone with one click. New files use a numbered name rather than overwriting, and deletes go to the Recycle Bin. Undo tells you which actions by programs or connectors those copies cannot reverse.
What does it cost?
The free version includes chat work with no time limit, account or card. Kernl Plus adds work on a schedule or when a folder changes, with approving from your phone's browser or another computer you own. During the preview, scheduled and background work are included at no charge; Plus is not for sale yet. Companies need a commercial license.
